My stylized drawing of the infamous and beloved, Scranton Electric City sign. Handprinted in cream ink on black eco fiber tote bag.
Fun Fact: The “Electric City” sign was designed and illuminated near the turn of the 1900s. It was to be symbol of Scranton as a progressive, industrial powerhouse. In 1880, electric lights were introduced at Dickson Locomotive Works and six years the first electric streetcar was operating in the city.
